EXTRA CREDIT:  Which 5 Caribbean islands make up the Netherlands Antilles (#11 above)?

--- Curacao, where the Capital of Willenstad is located; Bonaire; Saba; Sint Eustatius; and Sint Maarten.  Dutch Sint Maarten, which shares its island with French St. Martin (#21 above) is not considered its own island, but a part of the Netherlands Antilles.  It's main city, Philipsburg, is also considered the island capital.

DID YOU KNOW...?

These 5 islands form an autonomous part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.  The Netherlands Antilles was scheduled to be dissolved as a unified political entity on December 15, 2008, so that the five constituent islands would attain new constitutional statuses within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but this dissolution has been postponed to an indefinite future date.  As of December 15, 2008, legislation to amend the charter of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and to define the new status of Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius was still being reviewed.

The population of French St. Martin voted in favour of secession from Guadeloupe  and became a separate overseas collectivity of France on Feb. 22, 2007.
